If we can believe the media, people are hoping the new president will be able to solve the Middle East. They are looking, still, for a human messiah. Obama is not the Messiah. He is not Superman. He's not even Batman.
My reading of the book of Revelation shows that toward the end of all history this is what will happen—people will want a convenient messiah, and the Antichrist will take over. Then, look out!
All that said, I wish Mr Obama well.
No president, no matter his qualifications, intellect or charisma will solve the Middle East. This is a religious war zone where conflict will rage until the end of history and the return of Christ. So let's get used to it. It is Jacob and Ishmael, Judaism and Islam, and Islam and Christ.
The most logical thing any human can do in this world is to find out about Christ with a view to believing in him. If you want to look at the historical, eye-witness accounts of the life of Jesus, here is a text site: www.holyinjil.info
Back to Obama—on the eve of Obama's inauguration as president of the USA, we are now seeing the spectacle of a certain section of the Democratic electorate blessing the event.
If ever this group ever applauded me or approved of me, I should feel like killing myself. They are a clutch of perverts, adulterers and fornicators. They are thieves and exploiters, mafiosi and murderers.
